Walking through Paje Cave is an awe-inspiring experience, as you step into its cool, shadowy passages and explore its natural underground beauty. The soft glow of light reflects off mineral-rich surfaces, illuminating stunning rock formations and creating a magical atmosphere.
The cave is home to a colony of bats, offering visitors a rare opportunity to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural environment and learn about their important role in the ecosystem.
At the heart of the cave lies a serene cenote over 8 meters deep, filled with pristine, crystal-clear water that forms part of Zanzibar's underground drinking water source. This tranquil spot provides the perfect place to relax, cool down, and appreciate one of the island's most remarkable natural features.
Beyond the cave, guests can enjoy feeding free-roaming chickens and visiting our petting zoo, where they can interact with friendly tortoises and rabbits. Paje Cave is also home to a butterfly sanctuary, where visitors can learn more about these beautiful and delicate creatures. Together, these experiences make a visit to Paje Cave both memorable and enriching for guests of all ages.

Basic Entry
The Basic Entry Package includes complimentary helmets and life vests, a guided tour of the cave and gardens, swimming in the crystal-clear underground lake, access to our yoga area, entry to the butterfly enclosure, and access to our petting zoo, where guests can interact with rabbits, tortoises, and chickens.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and we take pride in maintaining clean facilities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit.

For safety reasons , children, under the ages of 14, are not allowed to book online and should be accompanied by an adult when visiting. Hence, if you’re coming with children, it is best that you pay cash on arrival.
Night Admission
Discover the enchanting beauty of Paje Cave at night as you swim in the underground lake while bats awaken and gracefully fly throughout the cave. Open from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, this truly unique experience offers a magical atmosphere, complemented by complimentary Wi-Fi, clean towels, and a refreshing welcome drink included with your visit.
Admission is 40$ per person.

Just for two
Experience a Romantic Cave Night Session, an exclusive private experience for two, complete with complimentary Wi-Fi, a bottle of wine, and fresh towels. Enjoy a magical and intimate atmosphere as you explore the cave together, swim in the underground lake beneath the cave's natural formations, and create unforgettable memories in a truly unique setting as the cave comes to life after dark.
(In December 2025, a couple took this package and the man literally proposed to his girlfriend at the end of the night, just sharing a few ideas on how you can take advantage of this service)

Lake Reserve Access
This option allows you to reserve exclusive access to the lake for 20 minutes, providing a serene setting with perfectly still water. Ideal for photography, the calm surface creates stunning reflections and a dreamy aesthetic, adding a unique and captivating dimension to your images.
Admission is 20$ per person.

Lake Reserve Access
This package includes one hour of exclusive access to the cave, providing a private and uninterrupted setting for your photoshoot. Enjoy the freedom to pose, create, and capture the cave's unique beauty and stunning rock formations without distractions. With the cave reserved just for you, you'll have ample time to explore different angles and make the most of this extraordinary natural backdrop.
Admission is 50$, which includes you and the photographer.
